‘Ours was a project with many moving parts. Working with a finite budget and a particularly tight deadline, we had to develop a solution which would reduce water and garnet usage whilst increasing production levels. '
Prior to commencement we explored a number of different pieces of machinery and equipment. We combined information on each compressor available on the market, fuel usage and overall output, and quickly coming to the realisation that going with a 850CFM compressor, combined with custom built blasting equipment could deliver the features and benefits we needed for blasting transmission towers.
Our research and patience brought both an innovative mindset and a wealth of practical knowledge to the project, while the field trailing we undertook provided second to none for the results we achieved. We also design small truck mount 4WD vehicles which enable safe and secure access to all terrain situations. We purchased in Fuso Canter trucks and have the blasting equipment permanently mounted, meaning we can arrive at sites, ready to blast within minutes.
At the end of the day, the results speak for themselves. The equipment we developed has been more effective than any we’ve every used before, reducing on-site water and garnet usage, and greatly enhancing productivity.
