Cake have recently completed Concrete Remediation work at the new Westfield Shopping Centre on 309 Broadway, Newmarket. This is part of the work that Scentre Group has engaged Cake to carry out during the development of the new Centre.

The purpose of our concrete works is to waterproof the floor areas of all newly built air conditioning rooms throughout the site. The process involved sealing exposed joins with a combination of Maxseal Flex M and mesh, and coating the entire room with an expoxy floor coating which prevents water from escaping the room.

Cake also undertook a breakout of multiple concrete lips and applied an epoxy and mortar ramp to eliminate trip hazards throughout the stairwells and fire exits of the site. Westfield Newmarket stands to be New Zealand’s premiere retail space, and Cake are proud to have provided our services and contributed to its development.
